Injection Quills/Corporation Stops

 
QB & QC Injection Quills
  • Type 316 Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, and Hastelloy C276 quills are suitable for high pressure, high temperature applications.

  • Simple to use ½”, ¾”, or 1” MNPT male process connection and ½”, ¾”, or 1” MNPT male chemical inlet connection.

  • The QC series of the Eddington injection quills come with a built-in check valve to prevent back flow of water or steam through the nozzle and into the chemical line.

  • The crack pressure (amount of psi required to open the check valve) on the QC series of injection quills is 20 psi.

  • For applications that do no require a check valve, the QB series of the Eddington injection quills come without a check valve.

  • All of the Eddington injection quills come with two machined flat surfaces on external portion of nozzle so a wrench can be used during installation.

  • The QC and QB injection quills come with the telltale V notch and witness mark to ensure proper nozzle alignment with process steam for proper dispersal of injected chemical.

  • Standard quill length is 2 3/4″ long but custom lengths up to 24″ are available. For additional lengths please add the quill length desired to the end of the Eddington part number (e.g. QCFM-316-050-18).

QBFM & QCFM Injection Quills
  • The Eddington QBFM & QCFM Injection Quills offers MNPT process connections and ½” FNPT pump side threads to make installation of the hose going to the metering pump easier. Most metering pumps have 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″ hose that is connected to the metering pump via compression fittings.  On the other end of the hose it is typical to have a 1/2″ MNPT connection that can be screwed into the Eddington injection quill on the FNPT side.

  • Quills made from Type 316 SS, Alloy 20, Hastalloy C276 can be used for high temperature, high pressure applications.

  • Crack pressure on the QCFM quills is 20 psi. If the pump cannot deliver 20 psi then a QBFM injection quill may be appropriate.

  • These quills are available in Type 316 Stainless Steel, PVC, Kynar, Alloy 20, and Hastalloy C276.

  • The QBFM has no check valve and is typically used with applications that require higher flow.  They are also used in applications that do not require a check valve or applications that require and external check valve.

  • The QCFM injection quills have built in ball check valves to prevent back flow through the nozzle and into the chemical feed line.

  • There are two flat surfaces on the external portion of the nozzle so that a wrench can be used during installation of the injection quill.

QCC
Injection Quills
  • Typical Application: Used in applications where shutting down a system to maintain the metering pump and/or check valve is not an option.

  •  Every quill assembly comes standard with a 2 ¾” Type 316 SS QB injection quill (no internal check), Type 316 SS Ball Valve with Teflon Seals and our CVFM Type 316 Stainless Steel Check Valve (Type 316 SS Ball and Spring).

  • The Eddington QCC Injection Quills offer MNPT process connections X FNPT pump side connections.

  • The QCC Injection Quill comes with an Eddington Type 316 SS CVFM ball check valve to prevent backflow through the nozzle and into the chemical feed line.

  • We test all of our QCC Injection Quills for a crack pressure of 10 PSI.

  • There are two flat surfaces on the external portion of the injection nozzle so a wrench can be used during installation.

  • Standard injection quill length is 2 ¾” but custom lengths up to 24” are available. For additional lengths please add the desired length after the part number (e.g. QCC-050-316-18).

Duplex Injection Quills
  • Duplex injection quills allow for two different chemicals to be injected into the stream from a single source of entry.  Eddington Industries has designed and manufactured a duplex injection quill, a tri-plex injection quill as well as a quad port injection quill for this purpose.  A typical application would be at a  deaerator where room for the insertion of quills is limited.

  • Injection quills are designed to ensure a more uniform and rapid dispersal of injection chemicals into the center stream of a process pipeline. This prevents corrosive liquids from clinging to the side of the pipe. The Duplex, Tri-Plex and Quad Injection Quills allows multiple chemicals to be inserted simultaneously.

  • Our Duplex and multi port injection quills are primarily made from 316 Stainless Steel, but other materials are available. Pressure and temperature are dependent on the material of construction and vary from 100 °F (37 °C) to 500 °F (260 °C) at 1000 psi max.

Triplex Injection Quill

• Quill has straight cut ends (not tapered)

Corporation Stops
  • Corporation Stops with injection quills are commonly used to inject chemicals pumped by metering pumps into tanks or headers. Popular chemicals where these corporation stop valves are boiler chemicals and cooling water chemicals, and other water process systems.

  • The injector quill extends into the center of the water stream providing more uniform dispersion of injection chemical. Corporation Stop Valve Products can be mounted to a “hot tap” which is installed without having to drain the system. Corporation Stops are ideal for systems that never shut down, since they can be inserted or removed without having to shut down the system. Corporation stops are different then chemical injection quills .

  • Features:

  •  Longer quill lengths up to 24” are available upon request.

  •  Every corporation stop come with a safety chain to prevent the nozzle assembly from being completely withdrawn before the corporation stop is closed and is a safety feature to protect against back pressure.

CSPV Corporation Stops
  • Corporation Stops with injection quills are commonly used to inject chemicals pumped by metering pumps into tanks or headers. Popular chemicals where these corporation stop valves are boiler chemicals and cooling water chemicals, and other water process systems.

  • The injector quill extends into the center of the water stream providing more uniform dispersion of injection chemicals. Corporation Stop Valve Products can be mounted to a “hot tap” which is installed without having to drain the system. Corporation Stops are ideal for systems that never shut down since they can be inserted or removed without having to shut down the system. Corporation stops are different from chemical injection quills.

Sample Coolers
  • Sample coolers by Eddington Industries are a safe method of withdrawing water from boilers, steam lines or tanks containing chemicals.  Sample Coolers are also a safe method for cooling the withdrawn liquid for subsequent chemical analysis.

  • The Eddington Sample Cooler is a rugged counter flow heat exchanger that is easy to install. The inner coil is continuous and is made from type 316 stainless steel.  The outer shell is made from Type 304 SS.

Flow Regulators
  • Eddington Industries has been manufacturing and providing flow regulators, worldwide, for almost 20 years.  We do this to offer faster delivery at better prices.

  • Eddington Flow Regulators are designed to deliver a constant volume of water flow over a wide pressure drop range.  The constant flow of water is maintained by the use of a  flexible rubber orifice.
